Residency in Veterinary Medicine
COURSE
The Veterinary Medicine program at the Federal University of Jataí (UFJ) offers a Veterinary Residency Program with areas of concentration in internal medicine, surgical clinic, and anesthesiology of companion animals. This postgraduate education modality, characterized by on-the-job training, was regulated by Law No. 11,129 of June 30, 2005, and by Interministerial Ordinance No. 2,117 of November 3, 2005, which defines the guidelines and strategies for the implementation of the National Commission for Multiprofessional Residency in Health (CNRMS).
The Veterinary Residency Program at UFJ was established by CEPEC Resolution No. 1052 of 2011 and authorized by the Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) also in 2011.

Total workload: 5,760 hours

Practical and theoretical activities are required, along with successful completion of coursework and a Residency Final Paper (TCR) for certification.
ADMISSION
To be admitted to the Veterinary Residency Program at UFJ, applicants must:

Hold a degree in Veterinary Medicine;

Be approved in the selection process conducted by Instituto Verbena.

REMUNERATION
The Veterinary Resident will receive a monthly work scholarship throughout the entire program, in accordance with the guidelines established by the Ministry of Education (National Scholarship Program for Multiprofessional Residencies and Residencies in Professional Health Areas).
